Easter Nails

Guys Easter is in less than two days away. Today I'm going to show you various nails designs you can do. There is no step by step tutorial with this post because most of the designs are straight forward. My favorite thing about Easter nails is the pastel colors. You can choose one color or you can do multiple colors, whatever floats your boat.

For my thumb and my ring finger I did a simple Easter egg design. There are so many different ways you can do this. Zig zags, straight lines, diagonal lines, polka dots. The color combinations are vast so go wild and experiment.

For my index finger I did a little bunny. How cute is he?

My middle finger is contrasting polka dots. Very easy to do and if you decide to do this on all your nails, which I've done before, it looks super cute.

Lastly my pinky finger is a chick. Two black dots for the eyes and a triangle for a nose with little feet. That's all. I have to say this was the easiest to do.

Hope these ideas helped. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter.

Daisy Nails

It's time to say bye bye to winter and hello to spring. Unless you live in Chicago because well it snowed this morning. Coldness and snowflakes aside I'm ready for rain and flowers and who can forget the sunshine. Today I'm going to show you how to get your nails ready for springtime. Daisies! Who doesn't love daisies? They are fun, festive, and so cute.

What you'll need:
  • Clear base and top coat
  • Dark color nail polish (black, blue, purple)
  • White nail polish with a striper
  • Orange or yellow nail polish
  • Dotting tool or a bobby pin
First step is to apply you base coat and then the dark color nail polish. Make sure it completely dry before you move on to the next step.

Next step is to take the striper with the white nail polish and to start drawing lines. Be sure to place them so they form the shape of a daisy. Now you can do like I did or you can do a daisy on each finger or multiple small ones. You can honestly do whatever you want.

The third step is to take your dotting tool and the orange nail polish and place small circles in the middle of the daisies. The final step as always is a top coat.

Three simple steps and your nails are ready for the warmer weather.

Santa Hat Nails

This one of my favorite holiday nail art designs. It's extremely easy and super cute. The best thing is that it doesn't take that long. It only took me about 5 minutes. The things you will need for this design are: a base coat, clear tape, red and white nail polish, bobby pin, and a top coat.

The first step like always is apply a base. Next you are going to place the tape on your nails so you form a triangle. Make sure you leave some room on the top. Follow the picture below.

Next step is to paint the triangle red. Wait about a minute or so before you take off the tape.

Now take the white nail polish and use the brush to make the bottom of the hat. You could use the brush to make the little ball at the top of your hat, but I prefer the bobby pin. Place a drop or couple on a piece of paper and use the bobby pin to make little fluffy ball on top. Add a top coat and you are finished.

Happy Holidays!!!

Candy Cane Nails

What is your favorite Christmas sweet? Mine is easily the candy cane. So in this post I'm going to show you how to create candy cane nails. This design is extremely festive for the holiday's, but its also super easy. All you are going to need is a red and white polish along with clear tape and scissors. You are also going to need a base and top coat polish.

The first step is going to be applying a base coat because from my experience red polish stains your nails so this will help protect them. Next you are going to paint your nails red. I used NYC's Madison Avenue and I only needed to do one coat.

The next step is to take some tape and cut it into strips of various width. Now you have to very PATIENT and make sure the red is COMPLETELY DRY. I painted the red nail polish and then went out to dinner with my family so it was able to dry for a couple hours. After you're absolutely positive the red is dry, place the strips on your nails in a diagonal like the picture below.

Once the strips are on securely take the white nail polish and paint over it. I didn't realize this till after, but I was completely out of my better white polish so I had to use my older one which is drying out. One to two coats is all you will need, just make sure the red isn't showing through. Wait about a minute or two and the gently peel off the tape. Take a cotton swab and clean up the mess around the nails. Add a top coat and your are finish. (Due to the fact that my white polish was drying out the tape didn't come off as smoothly as it should have, but they still look amazing)

Stay tuned for more festive nails.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
